Like most caps today, ours comes in a one-size-fits-most design. If you're anywhere between a woman 1.55 meters tall and a man close to 2 meters, it should fit you just fine!

Unless your name is Lance Armstrong, and you're just cruising around the city — not racing downhill — your cap and its add-ons will stay securely in place.

"Pro tip": Simply wear your ShaidOn cap and add-ons in those situations, in which you would normally use any other cap as well. :)

Honestly, not at all — much to our own surprise! After months of testing, we realized that when the visor add-on is retracted, even people you're speaking with barely notice it.

In fact, some of our customers use the add-on to slip into a sort of "incognito mode" — whether they're at the football stadium or relaxing on a beach chair.

Let`s first clarify a couple of definitions:

SPF (Sun Protection Factor) is used exclusively for sunscreens. It measures protection against UVB rays (which cause sunburn), but not UVA rays (which penetrate deeper into the skin and contribute to long-term damage).

UPF (Ultraviolet Protection Factor), on the other hand, is used for clothing and measures both UVA and UVB protection.

Here’s how that applies to our product:

• Bandana add-on: It’s certified UPF 50, which means it blocks 98% of UV radiation.
• Cap: It’s made of 100% natural cotton, just like most standard caps. While it hasn’t been UPF lab-tested, thicker cotton fabrics can offer moderate sun protection.
• Brim add-on: Independent research (e.g., Cancer Institute NSW) shows that high-quality shade can reduce UV exposure by up to 75%. However, this can vary based on surrounding conditions — surfaces like sand, snow, or water can reflect UV rays and reduce the effectiveness of shade.

To wrap it up: Shade and physical barriers remain our most natural and consistent form of sun protection. In fact, even sunscreen manufacturers emphasize that sunscreen should complement, not replace, physical protection like clothing or shade.

Yes! Our brim add-on sticks all curved-brim caps — including those from major brands like Patagonia, New Era, Flexfit, Nike, and Adidas, as well as dad caps, performance- or running caps, trucker caps, ponytail caps, and low-profile fitted caps — with the rare exception of winter caps made from thick materials like fur.

Important: To STICK does not mean to FULLY SLIDE BACK! While the latter we can only guarantee with ShaidOn Caps, you will be astonished on how many other caps it works just as fine.

Size match: Our Add-On is precisely designed to match the brim dimensions of your ShaidOn Cap, so when sllided back, it’s basically invisible.

Color match: The Cap and Add-On's share the same color, creating an even cleaner, more stylish look. What's more - the always-white part of your bandana matches the white ShaidOn Cap logo.

Slide match: The Add-On glides perfectly in and out of the ShaidOn Cap's brim. While it works well on many other caps too, we can't guarantee a slide experience as smooth, yet stable as with ShaidOn Caps.

In theory, yes—but keep in mind that our bandana is specifically designed with the exact size and stretch needed to securely and comfortably attach to your magnetic cap brim. A standard bandana is usually too large for this purpose and won’t stay in place.

However, if you just want to wear a regular bandana around your neck (the traditional way), using our magnetic clips still makes sense—you’ll avoid the hassle of tying knots.

Sure. Just put the two clips onto each other on the level of your forehead. It may not look as seamless as placing them on the magnetic brim of your ShaidOn cap.
